Pamela passed away quietly and gently last night at 9:45. I only hope I can face the coming days with as much grace, courage and strength as she has shown us for the past 14 months. I have never known such sorrow.
Memorial service is planned for sometime in the future when Dave, Pia and their soon to be newborn can attend.
I will post updates on that as they take shape.
All my best,
Ben

  1. This is such sad news and what makes it worse is that I didn't know Pam was sick. I wish I had made time to tell her what a great friend she was when we were younger. Our kids, Sarah and Rose, played soccer together too. I remember standing in the rain together one time while they played mudball.

    Best wishes to your family,

  2. Hello Ben and family...

Carol Bishop was kind enough to share your blog with some of Pam's former Lincoln classmates. How inspirational they are - Pam's beautiful spirit shines through...I have been so touched reading them.

My prayers and thoughts are with all of you - we never met but I wanted you to know that Pam left an indelible and beautiful impression on so many of us at Lincoln. I remember her amazing dance skills and that gorgeous smile. She was always smiling - it was so great to see the recent photos you posted here - she had that same smile. I think I saw her last at one of our high school reunions and thought she looked so fabulous - smiling of course...fit and so happy. I remember thinking she looked exactly the same.

Thank you for sharing these personal reflections with all of her family and friends. How wonderful of her to post her thoughts and feelings as well - what a wonderful treasure for your family to cherish forever.

Again...although we never met - I just wanted you to know Pam will be remembered by so many - bless all of you..

    Fondly...

  3. Ben and family,

I am so sadden by the news of Pam's passing. We were SLP's together in Portland. We first met on opposing rally squads together (Lincoln and Madison). I have always valued her professionalism and friendship. In recent months I have been amazed at her spirit, courage, and her love of life. She has been such a support to me in my journey with cancer. I will miss her deeply and know that the loss you feel is so great. My heart goes out to all of you.

    Love, Debbie Haroun
